Call for paper: This special issue (CMR-2010-04) invites scholars from across disciplines to address the timely issue of communicating health within specific social and cultural contexts. We would welcome papers that enhance our understanding of the relationships among people, culture and context in communicating community, national and international health issues from any theoretical and methodological perspectives and from any nations. Topic areas include, but not limited to, health campaign to prevent worldwide epidemic diseases such as H1N1 flu or HIV/AIDS, participatory communication to bring about behaviour change for the public good, cultural diversity and health communication, health communication education, mass media coverage of health issues and audience effects, and health communication planning.
